So I guess I'm out of the group now. Traded my 2020 lm2 in on a 2025 Silverado 2500 trail boss gasser. Was the best truck ever when I got it but after the motor replacement I got a little nervous with warranty ending and I really liked the new interiors and the trail boss package on the 2500s...
One more update. They found more issues after the motor was out. Head gasket leak and turbo was going out. They said Head and block were not fixable so getting a new motor. No idea how it was this bad. Didn't notice any smoke, the only thing I could tell was mileage was down and seemed to lack...
Update: dealer called and said they found more issues when they went to do the timing chain. Head gasket had a leak and the turbo was going out (which that makes sense as it felt like it might have been turbo lag). Will be next week sometime before it'll be done.
I guess we'll see if it's related to the lag but mine was also making noise like old school diesel clatter on light acceleration and I had diesel tech at dealer ride with me and he's thinking it's timing chain stretch. No check engine lights. Going in tomorrow to have timing chain replaced...
Just wanted to check if anyone figured out for sure what may be causing the lag? Mine seems to be getting worse on it. At take off it feels real weak for a few seconds then takes off. ECM was recently replaced due to a starting issue but that was over a month ago. Average fuel mileage has...
Finally got the new ECM in mine on Thursday. It was very sporadic in when it acted up so time will tell if it worked. For the record mine is LM2. Didn't notice the original was referencing LZ0.
I had the reflash Dec 22 and seemed good until a few weeks ago and it started doing it again. Dealer is going to replace the ECM, just waiting for it to come in to make an appointment to get it changed. Covered under warranty.
So just curious how many miles people are getting on their brakes? Just got the "service brake pad monitor" warning with only about 44K on it. I haven't looked at the pads yet but from the report from the last oil change at the dealer, the rears were around 5mm and the fronts were 7+. From what...
I did the same thing. 5100's set 1 down from the top. From the stuff I've read that seems like the max recommended. Too early yet to say if I'll have any problems.
Mine are pretty worn so was thinking of going with the 275 65 20 to get a little taller. From what I've read they should fit. Mine just has the Bilstein 5100s to level it, non AT4. Was going to try the Perelli Scorpion AT plus. Looking for winter traction without going to a true winter tire
I had the issue where it wouldn't start on the 2nd try and had to disconnect/reconnect the battery to get it going. Brought it in a few times and it took the dealer connecting with GM and they had them reprogram the FOBs in a specific way or something as it was something with the FOBs not...
I would totally agree. The looks are 100% better and I prefer the ride better. Maybe not the best comparison but like comparing a Buick to a Pontiac. If you like the softness of a Buick, keep the Ranchos. If you prefer the sportier ride of a Pontiac, go get the Bilsteins. Neither are terribly...
