I would say this company is now on the hook (due to their incompetent employee) for any future engine related issues that may develop over time. I would be talking to a lawyer at this point and getting some sort of agreement in writing worked out. I wouldn’t settle for anything less personally.

Yea, I agree it’s a little on the thinner side (especially for the undercarriage…) but it really wicks into all the very small nooks, crannies and crevices (like door hems, etc) and actually displaces water. Definitely better than nothing at all though. Rust check supposedly has the coat and...

Yep, I 100% agree. If the OP is that concerned about it, IMO just run the level down to 1-2 bars, then just add one 2.5 gal jug of DEF and keep repeating this to keep the fluid fresh.

$40 vs $28 isn’t too bad, but based on your dealers pricing you can see how much you are getting ripped off by them for parts…

Mooseman, not sure about your area, but a lot of stations in my area as of today are now up to $2.43/L for diesel!! Bloody insane! Has gone up 40 cents plus in just the last week! Luckily I can still find a couple stations that are $2-2.10/L, but they used to be $1.70 only a week or 2 ago…...

Almost sounds like there is some sort of electrical ground/electrical issue with all the codes you were throwing. What year? How many miles on the truck? Bought used? Ever seen winters/salt? This is what happened to someone’s newer Silverado that threw a bunch of codes, dealer wanted big $$$$...

I was wondering the exact same thing. Did they actually change the belt/material or just move the service interval to 200K miles or 15 years and would our LM2’s be good for it too?

Seems like a real PITA, when all that was needed is a drain plug on the pan and a fill tube and dipstick…!
