Hello. I’ve had that issue too on my ‘23. I had it in for dealer to take a look. They did a pressure test and said everything was fine. I’ll keep an eye on it but it sure seems odd to smell coolant. At least I’ve got that initial concern documented.

I'd be shocked if they end the 3.0 babymax option in the 1500 series trucks. There is a demand for this application. SUVs on the other hand, not so much. Those are grocery-getting, soccer mom, driving rigs and they don't need the torque or care for the diesel as much.

Got my truck back yesterday. They did a reflash of the head unit and it appears to have been fixed. The service manager told me that 9 out of 10 of the GM trucks need this reflash to fix radio/head unit issues.

I learned that the 3.0 Duramax gets better mpg pulling my boat than my old truck got unloaded and pulling nothing. So impressed.

Hmmm. Do you notice if it happens more when connecting a phone? Sometimes mine will reset 6-7 times and it completely reboots. Other times it just goes silent for about .5 seconds.

My radio unit restarts on and off. It seems to do it more often if my iPhone’s Bluetooth is turned on or if the phone is plugged into the USB charger. I’ve got an appointment at the dealership soon. Anybody deal with this.? What’s the fix? I’m hoping it’s a simple software update. Thanks.

I’ve had my ‘23 GMC Sierra Denali with the 3.0 babymax for one month. Really enjoying it so far. I traded in a ‘22 Tundra. This diesel is impressive. Got over 32 mpg on a 450 road trip. So comfy too.
