I went back twice to get it on the rack for the tech to see if the dye help them track the leak down, and sure enough, they were always to busy/etc. Granted, I need to get an appointment and get it back but I haven't had a drop leak in a few months now.

Hey Dennis, They replaced fluid and filter and performed the service as required in the manual. It's 45K for the first service interval for my truck, at least the manual says.. I'll double check the receipt today and post it for clarity.

I went by at the end of last week, said it was a terrible time, to come back the next.. So I'll try to stop in early next week to see if they see anything from the dye.

I have a different thread where I had my truck in for an oil leak so while I had it there, I had them quote me for a transmission service. It was $680 after tax.. after some digging I know I got ripped off, but lesson learned. I will say I feel like it was smoother and overall felt a ton better...

My dealer told me today they didn't have a fix for it.. I understood that as they did nothing. Now I need to check my paperwork.

Dealer called be back, said they finally got to it today (after 4 days, thanks) and said drive it a week or so. They put dye in the oil to help track the leak down it seems as they had no luck finding the source while up on the lift...

It's likely trans, as some have had trans trouble with these 10 speeds. I'd take it in for sure.

Anyone here had this done? Mine is in the shop now getting this fixed.

Dropping the truck off in the morning for diagnostics to see what the issue is. It has a very, very small leak still.

What I do if I'm in a hurry is take a quick picture of my odometer and and my receipt so I can go back later and add it. (y)

Yea, for the most part most guys are happy.. You'll see a emissions component failure from some, a few major issues from others.. but most are happy overall. That's pretty good for modern diesels these days, as emissions have haunted most diesels.
