2020 Chevy 1500 Duramax

I was told I need a new Def tank assembly due to needing to replace the def tank sending unit and the reductant heater. I was also told that this def tank assembly is on back order through GM. Has anyone ran into this, or is there something else I could do? Guy told me he has another truck that has been waiting for over a month! Same issue....

It is very common.

Heater is non-replacable and with the cold temps and full def tanks frozen, the heaters have to run longer, burning the connectors.

Def tanks will be caught up for next winter and we will then be waiting on them again at the end of next winter!
