I’m thinking of buying a new Chevy or GMC with the 3.0 diesel. Actually my son already bought a ‘25. It’s near new.

Before I go that direction I’m wondering what you guys think of any issues with them. When you look on a goggle search they talk about some big dollar items. Like rear crank bearing the timing belt and so forth. I realize only people that have had problems generally post. The others are too busy enjoying and driving their trucks that have no issues.

I'm at 28,500 miles so far, I love it. No issues and love the 30 mpg I consistently get on each tank.

I'm at 69K miles so far.. I did have a real seal leaking oil (dripping every now and then) that was covered under warranty.. the "long start issue" you read about was fixed with a ECM update.. other then that no major issues and I've been pleased with this truck!

Welcome.

There is a issue with the thrust bearing on the 25-26, but warranty is taking care of it.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy and enjoy the hell out of it.

I’m wondering if it might go bad out of warranty.

It's reading like in the first 2-5 thousand miles. And if over 10k good to go. Too early to tell what is the major issue with the bearing. Cheapest supplier with terrible QC most likely.
