Clicking sound rear axle area

Hello, just wanted to put this out there. Clicking sound was coming from rear axle area for a few weeks. Noise was coming at accelerartion and near stopping. Could not pin point. Took to local dealer two weeks ago and they said clicking noise was coming from driveshaft. Part has been replaced and no clicking noise or issues to date. Part number 84997519 was used to replace. Hope this helps.

Interesting. I'm surprised, in their infinite cheapness, they replaced the entire shaft instead of an individual u-joint unless the shaft itself was defective in some way.

yes surprising. love the truck mileage. im just under 27mpg avg. since owned.
