2022' Sierra 1500 limited - 3.0 diesel... No issues driving, went to dealer for the TCU recall reprogram. Leaving the dealership trans started slamming in gear and higher rpms and loss of power. Turned around dealer said it was only a shift relearn go drive. (I disagreed) Went and drove 3-4 miles slamming into gear, no low end gear, no high end gears and high rpm. (Went back) Finally , they humored me and said they would drive. Read code and didn't drive agreed it was the valve body and gave me a loaner. The Concern: The recall repair after failure states a new valve body. The dealer stated GM will only cover rebuilding because its a 2022' which involves two items a plate and sprooler valve. Seems like half a job. Any insights/ advice ?
