Hi guys....I am planning on installing a single remote oil filter adapter on my 2024 Silverado RST 3.0l Diesel. Derale and Earl's both have several options available. I also want to install a mechanical oil pressure gauge, using the 1/8" port on the remote adapter for the oil pressure. I am having difficulty finding info on what the thread pitch is on the factory spin on filter on the engine block. I will need to install the sandwich adapter for the hose lines. I have come across M16 x 1.5mm and also 13/16". Can someone confirm this? Also, some of the remote filter adapters have 7/8" in/out ORB ports, and others have 1/2" ports. Any recommendations on which to use? I plan to use SS hose with AN fittings. Much appreciated for info!

Did you figure out answers to your own questions? What did you settle on for installing your remote oil filter adapter, fittings & hoses? Thanks, DFE

OK guys, after some extensive research and investigating I have altered my original plans as follows:
I found nice oil filter sandwich adapter unit made by Improved Racing. They offer a unit that has two -10AN 90' ports. I plan to use their RaceFlux nylon braided hose, -10AN. These lines will connect to a Setrab, 19-Row Oil Cooler. A dual inline oil sensor, with 2 - 1/8" F ports for my Stewart -Warner electric gauges, one for oil temperature and the other for oil pressure. I finally figured out that the factory oil filter bung on the 3.0L Diesel is an M22 x 1.5mm on the adapter to the block side, and 13/16" to the oil filter. Improved Racing offers an adapter that is M22 x 1.5mm on both sides, i.e., block side and filter side. This will enable me to use a PPE high performance filter, which I am using now, on the 13/16" factory thread pitch.
My original intention was to go with mechanical gauges, however after some pondering and speaking with a couple of techs, I have decided to go with the electrical versions. This will also prevent any possible leaks in the water and oil lines of the mechanical gauges, causing a mess underneath the dash panel. In addition I will also have a water temperature and either an amp or volts gauge. The gauges will be enclosed in a 4 hole gauge pod mount on the dash, (yet to be installed). And yes the truck has factory water temp., oil, and volt gauges, but the SW gauges, they will be more responsive and intuitive. I just have to wait for the warmer weather to arrive, as it's a bit cooler up here in the True North! I'll document all the work with pics, and maybe a video if I can set it up properly. Will keep you posted...THX guys!
