I recently had a major issue with my 2025 AT4. I got the oil changed for the first time at 7k miles. I drove it 19 miles and the vehicle shut down. No warning lights, nothing. The dealership tells me there’s water in the tank and microbial growth and that killed the high pressure pump. Gm is saying it’s not their problem because they think I either got bad gas or possibly vandalism. My insurance company is saying gm’s should pay for it because of sb24-NA-225. Condensation in the tank cause the water build up. No one will tell me exactly how much water is in there. This pickup has a water sensor and separator which failed to go off. The dealership is telling me there’s water sensor works but the microbial growth masked the water as diesel so it didn’t go off. My problem with that is that there has to be water in there for a significant time before growth forms so it should have been detected. Anybody else having issues like this or am I just lucky?
