Who uses a fuel additive?

Hotshots EDT every fill-up. I will dose Hotshots diesel extreme about every 6 months. This engine uses an updated BOSCH CP4 HIGH PRESSURE fuel pump. Early pumps (2011 to the date that a problem was recognized) would allow the piston/roller to turn sideways on the eccentric and fill the entire fuel system from shards of metal contaminants requiring complete replacement of everything.

I've been using Archoil for the last 38,000 miles and I think it works great and with low number of regens. I had some Opti-Lube XPD sitting in the garage and when I ran out of Archoil, used that. I noticed an immediate increase in regens; from 500 to less than 300 miles. Just switched back today to Archoil so we'll see what happens since I was already at 80% soot. My regen results were using the same R99 Diesel 2 I've mostly used since new

Bosch fuel systems were used only on the 6.6L engines and only until 2018.

The 3.0L engines use a Denso fuel system.

Thank you I guess I got bad info. I'll still use my fuel additive.

GM recommends ACDelco Fuel System Treatment Plus - Diesel. It's a bit pricey. After a little research, I think I'm going to try Stanadyne.
That's what I have used for a couple years it works great. I've noticed smoother running and better milage.
